I also appreciate the concept presented: "YOUR MIND-BODY CONNECTION." This insight increases motivation and seems to me to be founded on solid ground. Still, I couldn't get my monkey brain to shut up and I couldn't make my stiff muscles in my neck and back relax. No wonder that Dr. I exhausted myself every day.
I take Zoloft for anxiety and depression. I do not recommend that anyone stop taking antidepressant medication prescribed by their physician, but I do recommend this CD set to anyone needing help relaxing. Weil endorses his presentation. None the less, I still was having trouble trying to relax.
And I knew that this stress would someday catch up with me.Professor Gurgevich's relaxation exercises, as conveyed on this CD set, has been of enormous help. These exercises work and have no undesirable side effects. I'm seventy years old, but probably because I eat un-American, and I do exercise regularly, I'm still quite healthy. This is, at times, quite painful.
I kept opening one eye to check how long the session was lasting and couldn't make it tothe 5th minute of the 16 minute session. I was only able to get through about 15 minutesof his introductory material. Then I went back and gave hisprogressive relaxation session a try. .OK, I will revise my rating to 2 stars, because after trying again I was able to get through the healing induction two days in a row. Maybe it's me, but Ialso found this to be possibly the worst most unlistenable CDI have ever encountered. I still can't listen to any of the other inductions or information sessions, and rather than feeling refreshed, the healing induction leaves me feeling subdued and groggy.I have to agree with the other reviewer who gave this one star.I don't know if it his inflated vocabulary, tone of voice, ortheatrical delivery, but I found the CD sessions spoken byDr. It's not the worst CD I ever heard after all. Gurgevich to be so grating and irritating that I just couldn'tlisten to them.
Gurgevich's website and order 4 of his CD's specific to some medical issues and impending surgery I am dealing with. Therefore, this is a CD I would only listen to once and/or refer to if trying to start someone else out with hypnosis. However, I did go to Dr. The lecture by Dr. Therefore, I do belive their information is accurate and effective. The sessions with Dr. Weil is excellent information on the dynamics and scientific work being done with medical hypnosis. Gurgevich on Disc 2 were a review for me having already been trained as a hypnotherapist.
Check out my favorites Healing Mind: Healing Body, Pain Relief, and Stress Ease.--Melanie R. Weil's work on other aspects of healthy eating and living, I figured, why not give it a try. I surprised myself with how much I enjoyed them, and since then, searched out more of Dr. Weil's friend and colleague Dr.
Leave it to Dr. Jordan, author of Have Your Cheeseburger And Keep Your Health Too. Gurgevich's work and now have 5 of his own audios which have helped me improve to 90% better in the last few months I have been using them. Weil as a trusted source to open your mind and provide a great introduction to the concept of medical hypnosis.
Steven Gurgevich made, it got me to actually try the sessions included in the audio. Have Your Cheeseburger And Keep Your Health Too. I was in a lot of pain last year and willing to try just about anything, so being a long-time fan of Dr. Boy am I ever glad I did, because from the reassuring and valid points that Dr.
I was skeptical of the whole hypnosis scene. I wouldn't have even given this cd a second glance, but because of Dr. Last year I was treated for breast cancer, and although everything appears to be fine,I am still dealing with the anxiety of the whole ordeal. Weil's advise for years and find him to be solid in his recommendations regarding alternative medicine.
It almost seems like cheating. Weil's endorsement, I gave it a whirl. I can easily slip into the "trance" state without any real effort and let my subconscious do all the work. Hypnosis seems like its on the fringe of medicine, but the proof is in the pudding. The side effects that I have been experiencing from the aromatase inhibitor drugs have all but vanished. I tried it a few times at nightclubs and there was no way I could be hypnotized.
Well, one month later, I am thrilled with the progress I have made. It certainly cant harm you and is well worth a try. I have followed Dr. I am in the medical profession myself, so I have done some research in this area.
